Live Scan Fingerprinting
After you pass the exam, all Notary commission applicants must submit to a live scan fingerprinting. The live scan sites can be found throughout the state at certain law enforcement offices and certain school offices, or you can visit ag.ca.gov/fingerprints/publications/contact.htm for a list of fingerprinting locations, or you can call the Secretary of State Notary Section at (916) 653-3595.
The fingerprinting fee is $32 plus a print-rolling fee.
Secretary of
States office will submit your fingerprints to the Department of
Justice and to the Federal Bureau of Investigation in order to do a
background check on you. |
