Minors
You can legally notarize a minor’s signature, so long as positive identification is made. The same rules for identification apply just as though you were notarizing an adult’s signature. The minor may have a valid passport or, if the minor is at least 16 years old, he or she may have a valid California driver license. If that is not the case, then you may use credible identifying witness(es).
